Community Groups who Fundraise for Charity - Adult Groups
There are many community organisations who fundraise for charity. You can contact these groups by letter, phone or email, but the most effective way of persuading them to fundraise for your charity is likely to be a face-to-face meeting with the group where you talk to them about your charity's work. Below is a list of adult community groups; on the next page is a list of young people groups.
- Rotary clubs - the main purpose of these clubs is to help their local community through fundraising and volunteering. Click here for a list of Rotary Districts across the UK.
- Rotaract - these clubs are linked to Rotary Clubs, but for 18 to 30-year-olds. Members get involved in "giving something back to local and international communities". Click here to find your local Rotaract club.
- Inner Wheel Clubs - these clubs are linked to Rotary Clubs, but are for women only. Members get involved in volunteering and fundraising. Click here for a list of Inner Wheel Districts across the UK.
- Lion Clubs - the main purpose of these clubs is to help local communities. Click here for a list of Lion Clubs in England.
- Ladies Circles - these are groups for women aged between 18 and 45 who want to make new friends and take part in social and fundraising activities. Click here for a list of Ladies Circle branches across the UK.

- Round Tables - these are groups for men aged between 18 and 45 who want to make new friends and take part in social and fundraising activities. Click here for a map showing all the Round Table clubs around the UK.

- Women's Institute (WI) - this group is for women of all ages (but most members are 40+) to learn new skills, take part in activities and campaign on issues. WI groups also fundraise for charities. Click here for a list of WI districts across England.
